South Bend, Ind.--- The Blue Angels of Mount Mary University travelled across time zones to compete in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) matchup. They took on the Titans of Indiana University South Bend. The Titans took all three sets to secure the win, 3-0.

- With 13 kills, Gabby Saucedo Salas (Flagstaff, Ariz.) led the offense.
- Assisting the Blue Angels was Ava Fincher (Owensboro, Ky.) with 13.
- Abigail Manthey (Mukwonago, Wis.) picked up 12 digs.
What Happened:
The Blue Angels dropped the first point but then scored, 1-1. Saucedo Salas scored the first kill of the night to tie the score 3-3. The Titans scored the next four points before Saucedo Salas secured another kill, 9-5. MMU found themselves on a four-point run in the middle of the set, 13-10. The Titans went two three-point runs, followed by a four-point run to secure themselves set one, 25-17.
Mount Mary started set two with the lead, 2-1. Saucedo Salas scored the first kill of the set, 6-4. Back-and-forth action continued until the Titans strung together five points with three consecutive service aces, 13-6. Saucedo Salas contributed another kill in hopes of bringing the Blue Angels' momentum. The Titans could not be stopped and took set two, 25-15.
Set three started in favor of the Titans. Andriana White (Erin, Tenn.) scored the first kill for the Blue Angels, 5-4. The Titans continued to stack on multi-point runs, 12-8. An error gave the Blue Angels the point, but the Titans continued with another run, 19-9. The Blue Angels effort remained present as Saucedo Salas put down two big kills along with a block from Lilly Severson (Cottage Grove, Wis.) 22-18. The Titans regained focus and finished off the set, winning 25-20, and winning the match 3-0.
The Blue Angels will return home on Tuesday, October 21st. They will showdown against Indiana Northwest at 7:00 p.m. The theme for the match will be Pink Out.
