Blue Angels Comeback Falls Just Short at Calumet, 59-58
Whiting, Ind. --- The Mount Mary University Blue Angels travelled down to take on the Calumet College Crimson Wave. After a week-long break, the Blue Angels returned to conference play. The Crimson Wave ultimately came out on top in a tight battle, 59-58.
The Blue Angels found themselves down 20 points during the second quarter. Despite the challenge, the Blue Angels continued to compete with heart and hustle. To begin the fourth quarter, they were down ten points. The Blue Angels did not tie up the game until one minute remained. They found the lead with only ten seconds remaining. Unfortunately, the Crimson Wave was able to get in another shot to seal the deal.
Box Score Highlights:
- Leading the way for Mount Mary was Mikkalla Robertson (Milwaukee, Wis.), scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Impressively, nine of those rebounds were offensive. She also chipped in a team-high five assists.
The Blue Angels will return to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for their last game of 2025. They will take on the Stars of Dominican University on Tuesday, December 16th.
