Mount Mary Featured Student Athlete- Micaela Gonzalez
Micaela Gonzalez, a sophomore from Brown Deer has made an immediate impact on the Blue Angel softball program. In her first season at MMU, she batted .393 at the plate and scored 25 runs. She was named 2nd team all-conference for her outstanding first season. So far this season, she leads the team with 16 hits and 13 runs scored.
Gonzalez answered some questions for the MMU athletic communication department earlier this week.
Why did you chose Mount Mary?
I chose Mount Mary because of the smaller population on campus and to play softball here.
What has been the highlight of your time at Mount Mary?
The highlight of being at Mount Mary would be meeting new people and good friends. Also being able to get an education while playing the sport I love.
What are your plans and goals after graduation?
My plans after graduation is to go to graduate school and receive my masters in exercise science. I hope to have a career that allows me to help people learn about fitness.
Why would tell a prospective student to come to Mount Mary?
I would tell them to come to Mount Mary because of the amazing professors and faculty here. Every faculty member is very understanding and looks out for your best interest.
