Softball weekend recap: Dominican and Eureka

Eureka, IL- The Mount Mary softball team was scheduled to play six games in the state of Illinois between March 25th and March 27th. Three trends continued for the Blue Angels, a tough one run loss, a dominant offensive blowout win, and games being cancelled due to weather. The Blue Angels dropped two games to Dominican, the Saturday contests vs. Knox were cancelled due to weather, and Sunday saw Mount Mary split the twin bill vs Eureka.

Win over Alverno highlights second set of games in Peoria

The Mount Mary softball team began their second trip to the Collegiate Slugger Series in Peoria with an 18-1 rout of local rival Alverno College. However, some of the Midwest’s best teams proved to be tough competition for the Blue Angels, as they dropped the next 3 contests and finishing with a 1-3 record over the two day trip.
