The season is beginning a bit earlier than planned against the Warriors (6-4). At first glance, WLC again brings a deep lineup with plenty of experience. To back that up the Warriors are hitting .290 as a team on the season. Along with the accurate bats, the Warriors are bringing in 41 of their runs with 80 hits. In the 10 games played by WLC, they have stolen 19 bases and have been caught four times.
The Blue Angels come into the games today looking for their first taste of outside competition this season. Last season, the Blue Angels made big strides in almost every statistical category, but most notably the Blue Angels finished 9-22 which tied the school's record for wins in a single season.
Along with 65 percent more hits in 2014-15 than in 2013-14, the Blue Angels also cut down their team ERA by more than half from the previous season. With the continued addition of experienced players each offseason, MMU is looking to continue the growth they experienced last season.
