A day in the life of an MMU pitcher.
Despite an early morning game and the clocks springing forward, we were still able to do some excellent things today. We came off the day with a spilt and advancing to 2-2 on the season. We had our bats on point today and we played defense really well. We are finally able to adjust to the 80 degree temperatures and play like we know how to play.
After the two hot games we were able to do some excellent team bonding. It varied from swimming in the pool, taking a leisurely kayak ride in the ocean, to just relaxing and having some fun with the best teammates around. From there we grilled out as a team and continue to just relax and have a blast. After that we took an adventure down the street to play some mini golf. It gave us a chance to be competitive with one another but have some fun doing it.
Overall, today was a win in all aspect in my book. We saw what we needed to work on, but we still ended up executing like we knew how to do. The early morning games also gave us most of the afternoon to relax and build our bonds stronger as a team. One of the highlights of the day was making Coach Clint do a belly flop in the pool; which of course he executed perfectly!
I am excited to see what tomorrow has in store for us.
